Baguio City is located some 1,540 meters (5,050 feet) above sea level, nestled within the Cordillera Central mountain range in northern Luzon. The city is enclosed by the province of Benguet. It covers a small area of 57.5 square kilometres (22.2 sq mi). Most of the developed part of the city is built on uneven, hilly terrain of the northern section. When Daniel Burnham draughted plans for the city, he made the City Hall a reference point where the city limits extend 8.2 kilometres (5.1 mi) from east to west and 7.2 kilometres (4.5 mi) from north to south. It is the highest major Philippine city in terms of elevation.
This trip was made a years ago. I am fortunate enough to travel once or twice or thrice a year, and every travel was memorable as it was always my first time to be there!
Way back then it was January when there's a long weekend, my officemates decide to go to Baguio and they ask me if i wanted too. Well without a second thought i said yes of course, I love traveling. It was so cold and my first time to feel a coldness like that. Hahaha its always been hot in the city so i am not used to it, i cant even sleep well even though i had layers of shirts and pyjamas on and additional thick blanket, I shiver LOL but still i love the place! I love to see a fog covering the mountains in the the morning!! A hot coffee in the cold morning!!
Now that summer is approaching and its getting so hot in the city again during noon, i cant help myself not to think about Baguio, like how i wish we have a cold weather like Baguio here in the city, how i wish to go back there, but there is also one place near to Baguio that i wanted the most to visit in that part is SAGADA! Soon :) :) :) Crossing fingers and toes!!!!
Interesting to hear that you go to away from the heart in summer when we from Sweden tries to go to a warmer place instead :)
